Look at the bright side – the really, really bright side

So my bio son Justin very eagerly agreed to share a room with his bonus brother Landon. We were moderately surprised by this since Justin was an only child and used to his privacy and his own room. But we decided “What the heck! Let’s jump on his enthusiasm and go with it.” So, we agreed that since someone had to share, and since the two boys offered, this would work out perfectly. (OK, we know it won’t work perfectly forever, but for the moment, we’ll take it.)

We told the boys that they could pick the color of their bedroom – as long as they both agreed. If they could not reach an agreement, then we would pick the color. Well, they agreed alright and all too quickly. That’s right- they settled on orange. Bright, vibrant, nearly painful ORANGE. Wowza.

Though it is certainly not the color I would have selected, I am very glad that they are happy and that they came to an agreement so easily. There is always a bright side – particularly when one uses tango tangerine.

About bradybonusmom

I recently combined my family (me and my 7-yr old son) with another family (dad and five kids). Needless to say, this has thrown us into a whole new world. We look a lot like the Brady Bunch - except we don't have an Alice.

I love that colour — Jesse and I have painted a room orange too! Good choice, although resale might be tough . . .
